How It all started…
Before embarking on my AI venture, my path of innovation and creativity had already begun to take shape in the early 1990s by creating an intranet network project named L'AGORA at an aluminum plant. This project wasn't merely about technological advancement but revolutionizing communication and collaboration within a company. L'AGORA aimed to bring creativity, art, and technology together in a corporate setting long before such integrations became commonplace. It aims to enhance internal communication and elevate it to a new realm of co-creation and shared dreaming.
The essence of L'AGORA was to dream big—employees from every level were encouraged to envision their ideal workplace through creative workshops that lasted about three hours. This vision wasn't confined to productivity and efficiency alone; it delved into how an organization could foster co-creation and a shared sense of ownership among its workforce. Inspired by the philosophical principles of Cornelius Castoriadis, particularly his radical ideas on the transformative power of imagination as a core force for personal and collective transformation, L'AGORA embodied these principles and sought to create a collective imaginary capable of propelling the company into a future where creativity and co-creation were at the heart of its culture and success.
It was an ambitious attempt to cultivate a collective imaginary within the corporate setting long before my formal involvement in teaching and research began. This initiative was groundbreaking, not only in its approach to organizational communication but also in its use of technology. We leveraged cutting-edge tools typically used for creating 3D movie decors, like Softimage, to visualize and bring to life the collective dream of the plant's employees on their intranet network. Softimage, a pioneering company in the field of 3D animation, added a personal touch to the project, highlighting my connection to innovative minds and successful startups from my homeland.
The company, renowned for its pioneering work in 3D graphics technology, played a pivotal role in my early explorations of blending creativity, art, and technology within organizational settings. Founded by Daniel Langlois, a visionary, Softimage became synonymous with cutting-edge digital art and animation, significantly impacting the film and video game industries.
